This gracious home was designed by local architect C. Emlen Urban and built by B. Frank Hiestand, a Marietta lumber mill owner.

The first floor features a rare American Chestnut foyer and staircase. Two parlors with pocket doors and fireplaces are great places to unwind with a good book or by viewing a video or DVD on the large screen television.

In the formal dining room, the mahogany wainscoting and coffered ceiling are magnificient. Afternoon refreshments and a full breakfast will be served daily in this cheerful room.

Five guest rooms, all with private baths and four with whirlpool tubs, are located on the second floor. All rooms include air conditioning, TV/VCR and new Lemoyne bedding.

The B.F. Hiestand House is a non-smoking inn. Well-behaved children and pets are welcome.
