Bold colors…intricate designs…dazzling artwork…and a rich sense of history and tradition. Step into the Quilt and Textile Museum and surround yourself with the Beaux Arts architecture of the former Lancaster Trust Company. Admire the world-famous Esprit Quilt Collection; considered by many scholars to be the finest collection of authentic late 19th-20th century Amish quilts indigenous to this region.

Check out our current exhibit Rainbow Yarn: Navajo Weavings, Germantown Yarns and the Pennsylvania Connection. This exciting one-of-a-kind exhibit, curated by nationally recognized scholar and dealer Brant Mackley, brings together rare examples of Navajo weavings from both private collections and museums across the county. Featuring more than 40 weavings and a host of other objects, the exhibition chronicles how brilliant-colored Germantown yarns were introduced by traders to Navajo weavers in the American southwest. Available through December 31, 2009.

Don't forget to see what nationally-know Christmas historian and founder of the National Christmas Center, Jim Morrison, has prepared. Visit A Lancaster Christmas and be dazzled by recreations of Christmas celebrations from the 1850s through the 1970s. It's an exhibit sure to bring back some memories.
